My grandfather was born in 1889. He told me people did not trust the banks when he was young and would bury or hide their money. There were a couple of stories around my little town of some wealthy guy that had passed, and his money never found. There was one man in the town when I was a boy that spent many of his days with a shovel digging for treasure. Never found anything to my knowledge. Be like looking for a straw in a haystack.
