I currently live in Cambridgeshire UK and ive never been metal detecting, but its always been a dream to go treasure hunting.
I've decided I really want to spend some time trying and initially I will be looking to comb some beaches until I can gain permissions from landowners to search there.
I already have permission via the free license for beaches, now I need help choosing the best metal detector.
ive done some research and know I need a waterproof low frequency for beaches with good gold discrimination, however id like a detector that I can use also on land.
im considering getting an x terra gold or a garret at pro that seems popular but do I really need to spend 600 quid on a brand new machine?
Id really appreciate some advice on a good all round machine choice as a beginner please
