Hi, i'm new fo tnet

Hi,
I just got my first md tonight. It's a bounty hunter pioneer 202. It was nearly dark when I got it home but that didn't stop me from playing with it a little in my front yard. I quickly found 2 Lincoln pennies, both fairly current but very worn, so they have been there for a few years at least. My md is still showing a dime or quarter in the hole that the second penny came out of, but it got too dark to really see what I was doing, so It will have to wait until tomorrow. I don't expect a surprising find, since my house is only 30 yrs old. Oh well, I wanted to introduce myself and say that I have already caught the bug.

Welcome to a great hobby, and your first finds. It doesn't matter if your house is only 30 years old, the land has been there forever, and no tellin' who's walked or rode over it.

Best of luck,
Bill

welcome, you are hooked!

Cool...........new myself......I got a garden set with targets learning my new AT Pro

Thanks folks.

Did some detecting this morning at a derelict house but only found a key to a ford. A Chevelle emblem and a piece of a tool. Still think the site has promise though

Welcome to Treasurenet. Looks like a good site, the chevelle badge and Ford key look to date the 60s-70s.

I was wondering if anyone had advice on how to set my detector to best find coins. I did as the manual said today, but only uncovered things that gave the same signature as dimes and quarters, etc.

Also, is a pinpointed worthwhile. If so, where would I find one and how much should I expect to pay?
