I agree that it might be a proof. If its san fran mint it would be on the back somewhere by the bottom of the torch. Also i might keep it seperate because it looks like it might have more silver content for how wide it is

Any proofs struck prior to 1968 were made at the Philadelphia mint, not San Francisco. So pre-1968 proofs will have no mintmark.
