I am very interested in getting into metal detecting as a hobby as a kid me and my dad used to get old maps and try to figure out where old logging camps were in humboldt county california as a kid and wed go try to find the dumps and dig bottles. Some of my best finds i wish i had pictures ill have to get them when i go see my dad but.
this was found on a old dairy farm the side of the hill we found what i believe was the trash site.found lots of other bottles also
I found a poison bottle about 1 inch tall amber in color said poison down side embosssed.
These were found in a salough? me and my dad threw on mud boots and stomped our way thru on low tide with old solid CAR antennas to poke in the ground til we heard a sound and we would dig them up worked great
Remington bottle i believe it was oil for guns or gun powder cant remember which one thats my favorite one
Also found a olympia embossed bottle from the beer company dark brown color very neat all of these were cork tops so defenitally had age
Thats a little about me i love to adventure and am seeking to get maybe the ace250 to start out? i dont wanna get something inadeguate to where i get bored. so i may sport for something with a little more features after i gain more knowledge on the differences in them.
