Hi all. I posted yesterday but didn't know there was a new member area. I have been interested in metal detecting (is that the right term?) for a while and am glad I ran across this site.
I live in Northern Kentucky, very close to Cincinnati. Useless fact; the Cincinnati Airport is actually located in Northern Kentucky. All I know about metal detectors is from what I have read online. In my post yesterday it was recommended that I get an AT Pro. The price looked decent for the AT Pro so that is the route I am going. I am pretty eager to get my metal detector and get out seeing what I can find.
My ideas so far for what might make good searching areas are parks/playgrounds especially under benches and swings, old abandoned farms/barns, and Civil War battlefields. Kentucky is a pretty rich historic area so I am excited about where all I can search and what I might be able to find!
