Hi everyone wanted to say a quick hello and introduce myself. I live in a little town called Jeffersonville across the Ohio river from Louisville KY. I just got started detecting again after a year off. It's fun getting back into the swing. Yesterday, I found my first silver, a 1917 mercury. I flipped the plug over and there it was sitting shining brightly, it instantly got the treasure juices flowing again. Hope to learn and have some fun here.

Regards, Keith

WoW!.Nice find!.What detector do you have?.Sounds like you are in a great location.I'm new to,about four days here.So enjoy.Dig some more nice coins or whatever good you bring up and post some pics and have fun!. B-)

Thanks, I have a Garrett ACE 250. It does a good job finding clad coins. I want to take it down town and hit a few spots the city is getting ready to putt in a ramp for a walking bridge across the river. Some of the house have been there since the mid 1800's, most have already been torn down, but two remain. Sometimes progress covers up our past. I would love to MD the yards before the soil gets removed, just got to get permission first. My neighbor told me tonight they found a confederate soldier grave yard so everything is being held up to they can relocate the soldiers graves. The area is full of history and potential finds.

When are you planning on hitting the walking bridge property
