I just received my first real MD. It's a used 5900 and I am really excited about getting out and getting dirty. Last night I shot a few coins in the yard, nothing special... yet, but I think the kids and I are going to the park this weekend. I just wanted to intro myself and I hope we all get to know each other a little better... good luck!

WELCOME "J" , the 5900 is a good machine. I used to use a 6000-D. I had many Years of Fun with it. GOOD LUCK & HAPPY HUNTING ; jeff

Welcome aboard! I wish my kids were still little so I couild get them to dig for me. I'll bet that's real exciting to them? But as soon as my grandkids get old enough...... JIM

Be careful in here JP, I'm new in here too. I have become addicted to this forum in just a few short weeks. I'll tell you something though. I had ideas of what I was going to shoot for and where but the people on here have given more info and ideas than I could have thought of on my own for the rest of my life. I just got my MD last month and the ground is frozen here in PA. I cannot wait till the ground thaws. I might even take a vacation somewhere south so I can shoot before March/April.

JP, welcome to the forum and the hobby. I think you'll doo very well w/ the 5900. It's pretty accurate on ID'ing so get out, have fun, and post us some of your finds. HH

Too bad, so sad! YOUR HOOKED NOW! Welcome & great work. You've already got some talent & the detecting disease will continue to grow in your veins. Even better, you are getting the kiddies involved. Isn't it nice to know where your kids are & what they are really doing. Just keep it up. Spotz
