Hi all,
Another newbie here. Been detecting since Nov of last year and am addicted.
Here in mid Mo, I have several parks in town that allows detecting, so there is plenty of ground to cover for years to come. I swing a Garrett AT Pro, and use the Garrett Pin Pointer to finish it off.
Went on vacation to Scotland in May, and got on the Detecting Scotland forum before going. Met up with one of the members and had a heck of a good hunt with a real friendly guy. Hunted in the small coal town we stayed at on and off for the two weeks there. Have plans on making a return visit next year.
Best finds, besides some old coins in Scotland, was made in the past two weeks. I finally dug my first silver; a Standing Liberty Quarter and a 1942 Mercury Dimeand my oldest is a Chinese coin "Ch'ien-Lung" minted between 1736-1795.
So, good hunting everyone, and look forward to every body's pics.
Eric
