Hey y'all, I just joined and glad to be here. I've been detecting for about three weeks now and it's safe to say that I'm hooked. I made a video of me detecting on the rear portion of my property where according to my neighbor there used to be an old logging or mining tram. He said that it is on record at the courthouse as being such and from what i was able to find online there were indeed mining and logging trams in this area in the late 1800's. Upon my detecting I have found several railroad spikes along this burm that I figure was the side of this tram and for me confirms the story. Feels pretty good to have something historic on your own property. I know that they're just spikes, but I feel historically rich from the discoveries. Anyway, I hope to meet new friends and share some good stories. Later.
