I took a stroll around the mansion today, finds are getting pretty slim. I did find a couple things though, of course.

One of them was this buckle.

Buckleboy?

Ever see one like this?

Also found this button nearby. It's two piece, in person you can see a tiny bit of gilt left.
But, otherwise, just a plain old button.

Oh, where are my manners!?

Maybe something to give a little size reference would help. ;)

Whatcha think? Was I listening close enough? LOL

Here's the rest of the "booty". ;)

Strange, but there seems like a wide variety of ammo on this place! Wonder what went on here? :icon_scratch:

If you look close enough at the last two, you'll see it used to be a 1902 V Nickel.
I'll try to clean it somehow, but I'm not expecting much. :dontknow:

This makes me feel better. At least I know that even the craftsmen from long ago bent their square nails as good as I do my new ones. :)

Now ya see why I chose a favorite school ground for my last hunt in 2012. ;)

Thanks for peeking!

Could be a knee buckle or similar...but my money is on horse tack.

Neat buckle.Looks to have some age to it for sure.

Yep, I suppose so. My ear must've been tuned in to hear that one though. :) The button too.

Anyway, at least the ground did give me a piece of silver.

Thanks!

The pics don't show it very well, but, there is a pretty heavy green patina in a couple areas. I was kind of thinking a shoe buckle, for a baby's shoe! ;)

Thanks!

Looks like a WWI knapsack buckle

Actually, that's probably more like it too. I just thought it was cute how small it was and I found it about 7 inches deep!

Must've been listening close, huh. ;)
