Very nice!Thanks for posting that!!

Thanks to you both, kuger for starting this thread and jw for adding his pics as well. Now I have something to compare with. I thought Highgrade ore was supposed to be a LOT more dense with the gold content. Would either, or both of you, mind showing something in the photo to give it some size comparison? A single US coin would do nicely.

Thanks in advance... :read2: ::) :icon_thumright: :laughing9:

Hello Dustcap,those pieces are a buddy of mines and are in a safe deposit box.They are all about the size of a grapefruit aside from the one smaller piece.Highgrade is pretty much any thing with a fair amount of gold showing.Take into consideration what you cant see! :thumbsup:

Hi guys, Highgrade is generaly any quartz that shows good visable gold that has broken off a reef & that if the visable gold is consistant throughout the "found" reef, that would be one hell of a rich load. Not to be confused with gold nuggets which are but single pieces of gold that have long been eroded off a reef & has all or most of its host matrics worn off & the nugget weather/water worn smooth. I have since sold that sample but it was about 3" X 2". I would love to find the rich little stringer that this little sucker came from that I found in a small creek in a crevice.

Or the place that any one of these came from.
