I had the hf 9 inch coil and was having problems with iron . I don't remember what program I created my custom programs for it from. Since the preset programs use different filters what happens if you use the wrong one for the hf coils? hence 3.2 or 2.0? I noticed in Garys video he said use preset nine for the elipitical is where he started. I might have been using the wrong preset to build my custom program for the hf coil hence the problems I was having. What do you guys think?

I'm not sure really. I built the exact same program using program 1, 6, and 9 as a base and saving them in three different slots. Switching between all three, I couldn't make out any differences in performance. And if there are any differences, they are too subtle for me to tell.

The claim is that different presets use different filters ,does anybody remember what Gary said they were ? In his video he was saying you could use ver 4 and 2 and 3.1 at the same time basically because of the filters used in some presets. Please keep us updated if you notice anything.

I went back and looked at the email and its the silencer filters that are different.

Yeah, it shouldn't matter much and not at all if you run with silencer at -1 or 0.

I asked the question on another forum will see if we get a official responce. I wonder about the silencer filters, what might be -1 in one might not be -1 in another ,or in other words what your use to in 3,2 might not be the same in ver 4

-1 means the silencer filter is off no matter what version it is. 0 is minimum application of the filter such any difference in effect between 2, 3.2, or 4 is not noticeable. Believe this is in the weeds stuff unless you have the filter cranked to level 3 or or 4 in which case you are killing depth, regardless of which version you are using.

gotcha! thanks

I know you guys think I'm nuts but try R2 and S2....been using it for quite a while...hits non ferrous hard and when you switch to 0/0 I notice no gain in depth or tone.

Look at the R & S setting in the preset "Deep" program...

The way I understand it is the Deep program uses V2 filters and the HOT program uses V3.2 filters. Applying the target response from previous versions in V4 update making it no reason not to upgrade to the newest version because you can select either and build a program from there and it would have the filters response you desired. The way I understand the HF coils is they are optimized for V4 filters so in theory you would have to start your program in say Deus Fast to get the full benefit of the new coils ability. I got the new eleptical and built a future tones program from V4 Deus fast and tried it today at a well pounded site and at 30 khz it lit the ground up for low conductors. I was thoroughly impressed.

deep program use ver 2 filters and I heard it hits hard on targets but can break up on iron. That's what I was thinking welgund but in Garys video he used program 9 to set elliptical up go figure will put it to the test. Ferrari had a point too up above.
