right in the middle of the month (with very little warning) fleeBay changes their free listing rules. You used to get 50 free listings, either fixed price or auction style. now the little hitleretts are putting more restrictions on even that.

They chose 14 catagories that must be auction style or you will get the old 30¢ listing fee. You can still list fixed price in other catagories.

I always try to have 75 to 100 listings going all the time. I like BIN not auctions. I now have to go through all my BIN listings and see if they fall into something that must now be an auction.

I LIKE 30 DAY BUY IT NOW - NOT 7 DAY AUCTIONS

OK, NOW EVERYBODY CLICK YOUR HEALS TOGETHER AND RAISE THAT RIGHT ARM OUT STRAIGHT. ;(

I noticed that too. I used to get offers for free listings all the time. They quit doing that too. Now for the first time in several years, I had to pay for some of my listings last month because I went over my first "free" 50. I think they are trying to get people to open up an ebay store. It's not happening for me. I'll just reduce my listings to the 50 free ones and save the others until I get a free offer again, if ever.

I bought a store subscription for a year last August, as soon as I did every month I get bombarded with free listings. Gee thanks.

I noticed that also. And on too of it they took.away my postage discounts and raised my pay pal fees. Posted something the other day and they charged my .30 cents. I think it has to do with a influx of short timers from all these reality TV shows on. Also its summer I was getting all.my free listings around the holidays. But I agree they are getting rough on the sellers anymore. Like was said wanting you to open a store.

They are trying to get people to open stores. If you do enough business it's probably worth opening one. So far I don't need to. I'm not going to pay 30 cents for BIN.....so I list as an auction at the price I would put if I was going with BIN & relist it until it sells. Not perfect but it is a work around.

The main reason I opened a store was the lower % on final value fees. I usually do more than $1600 a month is sales, so that 1% savings (minimum, depends on category) is worth it to me. Throw in 150 free listings and it is a no brainer. Ebay's stock was trading at an all time high a few months ago ($59) now it is around $52. I think this ceo just wants a big fat bonus, even though these policies could hurt them in the long run. With all these stupid policies, I can see some bad years for ebay ahead. I should short their damn stock and profit off it.

I used to stop listing when the .30 fees started, but then one day I realized that it is less than half a percent of a $50 item so I just eat it and go ahead.

I guess I should have read this better the first time. I just relisted about 30 items with a BIN and it cost me $6.90. That won't happen again, believe you me. Nothing but auctions for me unless it falls into a free category, after I read up what categories those are, that is.:BangHead:

Now they won't let me edit some of my BIN listings fron 7 days to 30 days either, wtf?

I screw that up to sometimes, but if you catch it quick enough you can edit it. It might have to be fixed within an hour of listing? I am not sure.

I noticed it the next morning. Bad thing is, these were relisted items. They should have already/still been on a 30 day listing, all the others were, go figure.

I noticed lately the selling page has been really funky, especially the auction and fixed listing tab. And sometimes my pictures won't load especially if I delete a stock photo to replace it with my own. Also last night I listed an item and it took me 5 tries to get it to go to a 30 day listing from a 7 day listing. It kept reverting back when I tried to scroll down to hit continue. I am using firefox browser, maybe that is the problem? But then again ebay does like to break their selling page often.
