The one in your hand looks like a sheet music holder no idea on the other though

The other looks like the remnants of a bar of soldering lead, but you haven't shown or mentioned the size.

I had a similar sheet music holder for my cornet for marching band purposes. Mine was a newer version with a spring loaded clip, but basically the same design. That was in the 1950s-60s. I agree with nhbenz about the other item, looks like solder or body work lead. Is it heavy for it's size? If so that's what it is.
