This is the site that i have been finding all of those bullets, suspender buckles, buttons and i just thought i would share some pics with the forum. First off the town itself is huge and most of it is on the national registry so that part is off limits. There is actually 3 parts to this town Silver reef itself,Hell town, and chineese and settlers camps. I will start with Hell town this was the lawless area it has been said that the local sheriff and citizens of Silver reef got tired of the drunks and the lynching of the Chineese workers so the the sheriff and an armed posse chased off and killed several of theese vigilante groups and the remaining men were forced to do labor in the local mines for a designated time period and when there time was up they could not return to silver reef and so they made their own camps about 1 and a half mile from town and it was properly named HELL TOWN.
The second area was just scattered mining camps. I will be putting a link on the bottom of this page and when you look at the pictures scroll down to the Rice bank the area i am talking about is about 300 yards behind. This area was for the average person who made their own mining claims and did all the work themselves and most of theese people were called opportunist and did not last long because they would move around a lot and considering the amount of boomtowns and small mining operations springing up everywhere they had a lot to choose from. Next we will get to the Chineese they were very hard workers and most of their camps were huge and had several familys that migrated to the area together. When the Chineese people came to Silver Reef they threw the whole system off because of cheap labor and a hard work work ethic now this put hate into the miners and was the cause for many deaths. There is an area that the Chineese had made their camps that is now being dug up for a new sub division that is now off limits but some people that i have talked to have found some old chineese coins and relics. I guess i am too late for that area...lol
Now the next part deals with Silver Reef itself and you can read more here

This tells timeline history and more. By the way the area i am working on now is one of the biggest mining camps and was Dutch and Irish in desent.
Thanks for looking and HH
