HERE IS A STORY OF A *WILD* CACHE FOUND IN CHINA

Thanks for posting. I don't think a lot of people think of a cache in this respect. Caches come in a lot of shapes and forms. One mans trash is another mans cache....

2700 years old my butt. it was probably some kid that was waiting for his buddies to come back, so they could ship it to Cal. from about 1970
;D ;D ;D

Interesting that the tomb was occupied by a light-haired, blue-eyed caucasian, there in ancient CHINA. The marijuana trade was important in ancient times, seems things never do really change! ::) :o ;D :icon_thumleft:

Just found this story, I KNEW Doc Brown and the time machine didnt go completely missing!

Dear group;
The story is quite obviously a hoax, my friends. The article states:
The 789 grams of dried cannabis was buried alongside a light-haired, blue-eyed Caucasian man, likely a shaman of the Gushi culture, near Turpan in northwestern China.

My question is, how in the heck are they able to ascertain that a 2,700 corpse had blue eyes??? Did they look in his wallet and find it's driver's license? Don't believe everything you read my friends.

It would be quite difficult to get autosomal DNA out of a 2700 year old corpse...even a mummy. Although stranger things have happened, I doubt they got anything but mtDNA out of the thing (which couldn't tell you eye color but may give hints to skin color), if the story is true. That being said, if they did use mtDNA they wouldn't have given a skin and eye color in the report, they would have said what portion of the world he is descended from. I agree, either this story is a hoax, supposed to be funny or the reporter really doesn't know what he/she is talking about.
