This is a precision instrument made to very close tolerances, looks to be very specialized and possibly valuable, but I can't figure out what it is. Any ideas? IMAG1031.webpIMAG1030.webpIMAG1034.webpIMAG1036.webp

Its a drafting set, Approximately 1935 - 1950. value somewhere in the $50 - $80 range

It definitely is not a drafting tool...Its a called a planimeter and is used for measuring areas such as cut fill quantities for mass earthwork grading.

These come in several models and are manufactured by numerous companies such as K & E, Deitzgen, etc...

I happen to have several which I use daily.

Not very valuable...maybe $150 max...

Thank you! Planimeter it is! I have searched and searched the name and model number and never found anything like it. I figured someone would know by looking at it. Treasurenet pulls through again.
