That means that if pure silver is 1000, and the mark on the back of the cross is stamped .925, then that means that the cross is almost pure silver. By the way if you found that recently, Congratulations! Nice find.

JHSY is the company or artist, but I can't find any information out there, except that there is a lot of stuff out there marked like this!
