Help with Watch Fob ID

A friend of mine found this the other day
Looks like it was Gold gilted
All I could find out was It a Company that manufactered Packings for water, air, oil Hydraulics, etc.
Circa 1908
Found two books on Amazon.com, that were cataloges 1908 & 1910
Like to know more about the Company

But that one says Brass
I think it's copper, or bronze that was once Gold Gilted??
Or maybe that one is gold and he don't know it

There currently is a Belmont Packings company in India. And there was a Belmont Packings Company in the USA that apparently went out of business - perhaps because it made products using asbestos? Its name appears a lot on lists of asbestos/mesothelioma lawsuits. Interestingly enough, there was a movie starring Gene Autrey as a young man who inherited a company called Belmont Packing Company. Wonder if the producers got sued for brand infringement? LOL
