I posted this in the "Silver" forum as well, but I don't think many people hang out there.

;D

Can anyone provide more information about this cocktail shaker? I know it's made by the F.B. Rogers Company of Taunton, Mass, it's Silver plate over copper.

I'm trying to determine it's age and value, but haven't found much about F.B. Rogers on the Internet. I'm hoping an expert will come along and fill in some of the blanks!

Thanks!

While we're waiting for that expert, I'll toss in the following general info on the company...

The F. B. Rogers Silver Co. was founded in Shelbourne, MA in 1883, relocated to Taunton, MA in 1886, and was incorporated the same year. They are also listed as "successors to the West Silver Co. [Taunton, MA] before 1896." In 1955 they became a division of the National Silver Co., and in 1985 were sold to J. C. Boardman. They were reportedly still in business as recently as 2004.

1920's to 1930's era. As late as the 1940's.
Value 50-75 dollars. Not a real popular collectable though for some reason.
I have had a number of different styles and mfg. and they have been slow sellers. Now if it were silver, that would be a different story.

nice item. Polish it up good and enjoy it as a display item or use it.
