I dug this huge flat button the other day. I measured it with calipers and it's 33mm. After looking at buttons online untill my eyes were about to bleed, I gave up. This is how it looked when it came out of the ground....

After a little cleaning, I noticed some possible guilding next to the stars...

This is as far as I got with it and dont want to ruin it completely and this is still how it looks...

Anyone have any ideas what this button may be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

DOES IT LOOK LIKE IT HAS WRITING ON THE OUTER BORDER?
DOES IT LOOK LIKE ANYTHING IS IN THE MIDDLE ?

I CAN TELL YOU IT IS MOST LIKELY 1700s
LOT OF GUYS CALL THOSE "DANDY" BUTTONS - THEY WOULD BE FROM CLOAKS/ CAPES OR LARGE COATS USUALLY

I tried to shine a light on it sideways to bring out detail and cant seem to find any writing on the edge or center. I did see a reference on here that says buttons over 30mm are from 1770 to 1795. Heres a pic with the light on it.
