Hi I found this and usually I don't ask about those kind of rocks. I crush them and pan them..but this one Ring on my metal detector.. usually they dont even Ring or they ring on the iron section... now its on the gold section.. I know there's a lot of iron stain on it but so many thing going on this one I need help if possible to know what is that..I will post some picture some are zoom x60...the white part look like sand to me.. I can see quartz bits when zoom.. the black part I don't know I try to scratch it with quartz and didn't do anything to it...I live in Canada Quebec IMG_20180930_142446.jpg1047355549.png2058896524.png1670704019.png1537312757.png261014289.pngIMG_20180930_142158.jpgIMG_20180930_142436.jpgIMG_20180930_142443.jpg1740735126.png

All I can say is that its a mineralized rock. Enough iron content in a mineral can bring stuff into low gold ranges on a detector~ plenty of hot rock out there. Crush it up is all ya can do.

I scratch most of the iron stain around the rock and.... that's what I have found after using my pan..I'm starting to think I did a mistake with the others... throwing them :BangHead: from now on I will always scratch iron Stain.. well for the rock itself I don't know how to break it without losing materials big hard rock...anyways here some pictures.. the shiny silver one don't know... Look like silver or Lead? Some pictures are zoom x60 thank you
