a buddy of mine found this at a 1700s homesite. also found several flat buttons and other assorted goodies but we reall need help with an id on this thanks Guy andGals

A charm or pendant? It looks like the ring is brass and the lack of a deep green patina looks like it isn't very old.

ok I figured it out on my own. it is an old watch chain fob.

Looks too small to be a fob.
