So earlier at a garage sale I got a big bag of free military button. Many of them are Pre-1920s. Some I can identify but most I have having difficulties. There are a ton to post but these are the first two I took pictures of. Any help is greatly appreciated
The first is a older looking button of a plane flying over water. No marks on the back.

The next is a Minnesota button made by Waterbury. I have no idea how old it might be though...

I found a couple of mentions of the airplane button. Looks like it's a Lindbergh commemorative. The plane really doesn't look like the "Spirit of St. Louis", but here's a link. https://www.google.com/search?q=mil...h+commemorative+buttons&imgrc=N-cHXmnrX3YHJM:

Yes those steel backs are usually mid 20th century and its a fashion design. (Yours is called a self shank.) Vintage Brass LUCKY LINDY - CHARLES LINDBERGH * SPIRIT OF ST. LOUIS Plane Button | eBay

Here is your State Seal Button listed under career uniform. Yours looks nicer ,
more detailed. Probably early 20th century.
