I would say lumbercamp is correct Its a pit saw. Will's saw has small, hooked ,forward cutting teeth. witch rules out drag saw.. Ice saws have larger triangular teeth witch can cut on forward or back stroke. Also ice saws have teeth clear to the tip pit saws have no teeth at the end because they were made so you can attach a second handle to be used with two men . And the ice saws tend to have the handle attached closer to the top of the blade while pit saws are closer to the teeth.DisstonIceSaw.webppit_saw_26107_sm.gif

It is a pit saw.

From what I can tell from the photos, the teeth are too small to be an ice saw.

The forum at papawswrench.com is very good for identifying tools.

Nonetheless, it is a COOL find!!!!
