Help with rock/mineral ID

Hello all! I am having trouble figuring out what this rock is made of. obviously some type of metal because it hangs on to my magnet. Magnetite maybe? I have included a shot of that too. Thank you all!

Also calculated the specific gravity to be roughly 3.3... I was bored.

Could be diabase or something related, these often have fairly high iron related mineral contents. (making them magnetic, mostly just weakly so though)
