help with ring.

I am hoping to get some idea about this ring.
The hallmarks are hard to make out, and any idea on what the stone? is and how old this might be?

Wow, that is a unique ring!! I like it!!! I find a lot of silver rings but I am no expert. Someone more knowledgeable will pipe up soon to give you some insight. From looking at the hallmarks, I would say it was made in the late 19th century but I’m probably mistaken. Well done, that AT gold is a great machine for jewelry! Congrats

I should mention the stone is semi translucent.
And the closest resemblance to the hallmark i have found is London 1966.

What an amazing ring find mate!
Unfortunately, your camera isn't focusing in on the hallmarks.

Stylistically, I agree with Bob... late 19th to early 20thc.

I had to really dig in with the baking soda to see anything at all. I will try for a better pic. The second small mark is still not showing much even under my loupe.

I can't tell if its a blemish in the engraving or if the silhouette is wearing part face armour (covering his nose)

I've never seen one used as a center piece on a ring, but there used to be an old cartoon character. If memory serves me correctly(not likely), he was a little guy, body color was black with no detail but he always wore a helmet similar in design. I can't recall what the cartoon character was. Anybody else recall the character? From my childhood would have been 50s. That was my first thought on the ring's face view.

Its a cameo ring... it is shell.

Cameo ring carved from shell is correct. Hallmark rich suggests UK IMHO.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I am (slightly) familiar with cameo jewellery but the colour didn't immediately strike me as shell.
