I made a post 2 days ago about how me, my brother, and Wolves_24 went to a local creek and hit on 9 rings. One of them makes me really curious. It is tarnished black, so I am guessing it's silver, but there are no markings inside of it. I recently read on a website that it became a law to mark silver in the late 1800's. We found multiple relics of that kind of age in the river so could this ring be that old?

Looks silver to me. 1700's to 1800's would be my guess. Very nice patina.
