I need help identifying 2 relics I dug at a civil war camp site. The item with the ring on the left in the picture and the item on the right, the bullet is for referencing size.

Any help would be appreciated.

Just my wild guess but both relics look to be possibly off a singletree for a horse

I think more likely a leather strap went through the one to attach the ring to the end of the strap. It wouldn't lay flat on the animal, so my swag is possibly on a harness tug/trace.
