I agree with Russau - 3" dredge max (barely) but will run a 2" fine. With 98 feet max head that translates into about 42.5 PSI max output, but you won't get that PSI at 149GPM.

thank you for the info. I did thank him.

I run a 3" dredge with a 1.5" outlet and 2" inlet pump. No idea what the output and pressure are because i built it from scratch, but i get lots of suction with it. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1493095939.927544.jpg

Another question. I have 2 Keene a52 sluices. Ive seen some dredges using these. I want to build a 2 or 2 1/2" also have a semi trash pump with a 6 or 6.5hp Honda on it. I could swap out the motors if needed or would the 4hp with the A52 be enough or to much water and need a bigger sluice.

A 2"-2.5" dredge setup is about the perfect size for that sluice. A semi trash pump will work, but they arent the greatest at building pressure and they are bulky. I say go for it if that's what you have. A 6.5 horse pump is definitely overkill, but you would have enough extra water output to let a friend run a high banker or another dredge the same size. I have a garden hose outlet that my uncle hooks up to for his high banker. If you dont want to deal with all of that then the 4hp pump will do just fine.
