As a side note, the Pepsi Cola logo features a double hyphen between the words 'Pepsi' and 'Cola'.

I'm not a Pepsi collector, but I understand the double hyphen will help you date the piece.

clovis97; Yes.
The words "Pepsi" and "Cola" were separated by two dashes (called double dot) until 1951 when the modern logo with a single dash was introduced.
Don....

I've only heard the term "double hyphen".

Glad to know this was used until 1951.

Hello RELICDUDE,

Is that the Washington Capitol building on the front? What does it say above the flag?

I wonder if this might be a luggage tag / commemorative from one of the Pepsi bottlers conventions. They had their first big one in 1910, in New Bern.

"1910 - The first Pepsi-Cola bottlers' convention is held in New Bern, North Carolina. " Pepsi Store - History of the Birthplace of Pepsi

The serial number would be a means of returning a lost item...
