First off, what type of guitar is this? It looks almost like a Spanish guitar to me, but I am not sure. Also, could it maybe be a parlor guitar?

I bought this guitar today for $16. I decided to look inside to see if there was a maker, but only saw writing in pencil saying "T5 (or more likely 75) Quaker St. AK. (or P.K.) Aug 6. 1930". I am wondering if anyone can interpret what this writing means. To me it sounds like an address, though I can't find any evidence of a Quaker St. in Arkansas. Maybe it could be P.K., not AK., and P.K. is the maker's initials. Perhaps the street has changed names since 1930. It would be cool to find out who made it. Also, I am curious as to if I over payed for this guitar or got a good deal, maybe folk art collectors might think it is cool. Either way, I am happy to own this very cool guitar, it will look great on a wall.

Also, do you think it is handmade and the writing inside is from the maker, or made by a company and writing is by owner.

Thinking maybe 75 Quaker street and P.K owner as the writing looks different,Google earth shows a Quaker Street in Granville Ny,though it appears in residential area its now a Job Lots, just my thinking.

Looks like what’s commonly called a student guitar, classical style, 12 frets to the body. Probably was owned by a school or some such and the markings were their way to identify their instruments.

How's it sound?

I'm am not a guitar expert, I listen to it frequently in music of course, but don't have much experience with actual guitars. From what I have heard of this one though, it sounds very nice, I think it sounds better than my Yamaha nylon guitar from the late 80's. I know a guy who is an expert on anything guitars or music, I will probably show it to him when I get the chance.

I think I found it, after searching Regal parlor guitars. I guess it isn't handmade after all, still very cool though. The only problem is that the one in the link is missing the sticker with the maker too, but they seem pretty sure it is Regal.

Here's a video of someone playing my model.
