Help with Item....Patent Date Included!

I think I have seen these before, but might be wrong. Is it part of a musical instrument?







In case you can't read this, it says:

Patented Apr. 7, 1914
Trade Mark K-W
Made in USA



Please let me know if you recognize this or can research the patent. I tried, but couldn't locate it. Thanks a lot!

I think I found part of the exhaust manifold too.

Not trying to steal his post here but if you look at the lower portion of the third picture there are a few items there I belive to be part of the auto as well

Wow! I would have to dig 13 Pennies to pay for that thing! Probably 11 or 12 with the one loop broken off. That puts things in perspective.
