Help with Identifying

Found this item today metal detecting at 8 inches plus and need help identifying. Any help would be appreciated.

Looks almost like it could have been some type of hair clip or brooch maybe? Very intriguing.

Brooch... A Pin.
Missing a foil backed "stone" ?.

You know... Like the "Grand poobah" or "Sultan" pin... with small feathers on bottom and larger ones above... and interchangeable stone in the center...

Perhaps a Vegas Showgirl pin type as well.

Anyway...
I think the sun cooked me.
Stick a fork in me... Im done.

Victorian era gilded brass brooch. Looks like it once had a stone in the center and an additional layer attached.
