Help with identification please.

I'm unaware of where these were found since they were found at my grandparents home after their passing. They lived in East Texas. I can identify the fossils and petrified wood. However, there are a few rocks and minerals in the host rock I can't identify.
ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1503863557.594176.jpg this rock has a shimmer to it like it was sprinkled with gold glitter. Hard to tell in pictures but not mica, it's not flakey. The rock itself is soft.

#1 is mica schist.
#2 Quartz & Mica, indeed.
