This is my first, of only 2 points, I've ever found. I have other items that may or may not be NAIA artifacts.(I'll post later for help) It was found in Williamson Co. Tennessee in a dry creek bed. I've always wondered about the age and culture it came from. I've read many NAIA post since getting back on TNet and thought y'all might be able to help. All opinions welcome. Thanks for looking.

It's an archaic stemmed point. That was before the Woodland Indians period and lasted a few thousand years. Nice find.

Thanks for the information. To think that this piece was used by a person roughly 3000-5000 years ago blows my mind.
 

Many have that base shape even Adena.
Thanks for the information. I remember studying the Mississippian culture in grade school. It's a shame we don't anymore.
 

Some of us would call that a Heart Breaker. Interesting material. Has a speckled look, like petrified wood.
