Love that golf brings that image of frustration to people! But yeah could have been mad and threw it, or could be something that got washed away in a flood or something at some point, or something that someone didn't want anymore and just dumped it some where. We will never know, but I like your idea of someone having a bad golfing day, makes a better story.

Don't worry, we will call you back when we need you to make a poor id then argue repeatedly about it when people point out the flaws in your assumptions. carry on

And who is "we"... you got a mouse in your pocket ? ? ?

Oh and PS... and even when i am off on an ID... i am still closer to one than you are.

I am truly convinced that my being wrong 10% of the time is better than your being right 10% of the time. heh

Oh and PS... and even when i am off on an ID... i am still closer to one than you are stats wise.

I am truly convinced that being wrong 10% of the time is better than your being right 10% of the time. heh

The item is a Sole Plate from the bottom of a 2 wood manufactured by the Buhrke Co. of Chicago, Illinois (late '20s or early '30s is my guess). The words 'Burr Key Bilt' is a 'play' off the owner's and their company's name. (Alfred E and B. H. Buhrke).
Don.....
