eldelbrock carburetor metering rod

This item reads in nickel range. Reminds me of a lock picking tool, has an E and H stamped on it, seems to small to be a dental pick which is first suggestions by friends. I have bought dental picks before and they are much longer tool and have sharp end on the flexible part this item has a non-flexible end that is blunt. Seems completely different to me. So can anyone pin down what this items Id ? :dontknow:

It reminds me of a tool my grandfather used in his jewelry/clock repair business.

Thanks!! I had to look very closely with my loupe to see the brass color barely showing in some scratches, it has a rather thick plating on it. Guess we will never be able to pin down what models as it is a very common part! It doesn't seem common to find with a detector tho as this is my first one 8-)
