These two hatchets were two of my first finds about 6 years ago. I found them near an old stone foundation near a creek in Malvern Arkansas.
I really never thought much about them until I saw someone post a picture of a hatchet from the civil war and one of these looks the same to me.
I painted them with rust conveerter when I found them so they wouldnt rust any worse as they are in pretty good shape.
Any help with ID of around what time period these are from or any other info you can provide on eitheer of them would be greatly appreciated.
