Hey you guys, I wondered if anyone could give any insight on this gold ring. It belongs to a good friend of mine. His aunt gave it to him, said it was purchased in Peru in the 70’s. Not sure if that’s an Incan design or Mayan or what. Weighs 19.6 grams, marked 18k and looks like maybe an emerald in there. Any idea of age or country of origin or value would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I would think it was made in Peru and it probably is an emerald stone. Actual gold scrap value is just about $900. so it could be worth maybe as much as $900 or more to the right buyer. Nice chunk of gold.
