help with gold hallmark? - SOLVED

Hi there,
I found a gold ring that looks to be quite old, however I am having a hard time dating it.

I think Karat markings in gold jewelry were a more recent thing...I don't recall when they started marking them, but I'd say certainly 20th c.--and I'm thinking probably 1930's or later. I'm someone with more information will post shortly.
