SCROLL DOWN TO THIRD POST FOR A BETTER PIC.

Found this flat button, have looked on the net for ID.

I know it's made in London. What I can't find is who made it.

The maker's mark is three stars spaced around the top, back. The front is plain.

The size is a number 40, or 25.5 mm.

I assume it is a civilian button due to the slight conical shape, noting that it was cloth covered.

Thanks for any info you have.

Re: Help with flat button ID.

what I would do is just type in old pins made in london or old buttons made in london. If you have already done that then I can't help. sorry :)

Re: Help with flat button ID.

Thanks. I can't find anything about the star maker's mark.

A Button web-site owner said it was a mid-1850's button.
