help with buckle find

found this one the other day looks like a wreath buckle other than the loop on the top.have not been able to find anything similar while researching it.i have seen similar ones other than the loop at the top all the ones I have seen have a rectangular attachment at the top.any help would be appreciated as to date and what it would go to. thx

it looks like some sort of watch fob.

that's what I thought when I dug it up but I knocked the dirt off and it looks like its part of a wreath buckle.i will get it cleaned this weekend but if you click on the picture you can see what I mean.

Looks like a tongue and wreath buckle to me.
You can see the rounded tabs on both sides.
Is it aluminum?

no its brass pretty sure its the wreath part of buckle but the top of it is unlike any I have seen.the bottom wreath part looks similar to others I have seen but unable to find one with the rounded top usually rectangular.

I have seen the rounded belt attachment but they seem to be a bit different than yours.
Does it have the leaves around it.?
Can you post a pic of the back.

Certainly an interlocking buckle rather than a fob. Whether Civ or Military I can't say..
