Re: help with bottles...

A early fancy pinched perfume or barbers tonic, etc bottle. The drink bottle should or might have the origin on bottom or bottom of rim.

Re: help with bottles...

Thanks MJ..makes sense..in the right state anyway...funny thing is I've been doing some work in Higganum the last few months. Didn't dig the bottle there, got it years ago on the coast...I'll have to ask around up there...

Well thanks to MJ's link..I asked a few questions of the homeowner where I'm working...a short trip led me to here..thought it was pretty neat! The property is still in the original owners family..just stopped quick today for the pics, but gonna try and check the place out next weekend...

Nice bottles. I really like the photo - notice the reflection in the stopper? How cool is that?!

Hey, maybe the bottling works can date your bottle for you. Or maybe they'll see you're interested in old bottles and offer you some from their old stock. No harm trying.

That's the spirit of the stopper's broken ancestor. ;)

Nicely embossed crown top spring water bottle, very popular 1915-1940s
Looks like mint condition. Embossed bottles were the first type of advertising, later to be replaced by paper labels.
