I stopped at an amazing estate sale today and found a working MD. It said it was a 4B on the coil, but closer inspection shows it to be a model 63TR. I'm guessing it to be 30-40 years old. I found a generic manual online, but I'd like the input from anyone who has ever used one.

Yes, I know it's old and very basic, but it's all the detector I can afford right now ($20) until the nuggets start appearing.

Already grabbed that one, but thanks. Since you've used one in the past, can you tell me about some of the things to watch out for? I'd really like to know how well it can tune out ground mineralization.
