I was fortunate enough to dig my very first silver thimble.

There is a maker's mark stamped on the inside. I've tried to decipher and look up on the online encyclopedia of silver marks.
The trouble is that I don't know how to look this up. I'm not sure what the letters are. They appear to be in a monogram style, inside what looks like a shield. With U.S.A. stamped above it.

I don't have the best equipment for close up pics but here are the ones I could get:

2016 (746).webp
2016 (751).webp
2016 (750).webp
2016 (749).webp
2016 (748).webp

If anyone is familiar with the mark or can help look up, I'd be most grateful.

Thanks in advance for any help.

"Bundle up, baby it's cold out there!" :)

Thank you kindly! My eyes aren't good enough anymore. I thought it was an L S.

Sure looks the one! From where I found it though it's not likely to be a current version. Probably one of the earliest.

Thanks again!
