I was fortunate enough to dig my very first silver thimble.
There is a maker's mark stamped on the inside. I've tried to decipher and look up on the online encyclopedia of silver marks.
The trouble is that I don't know how to look this up. I'm not sure what the letters are. They appear to be in a monogram style, inside what looks like a shield. With U.S.A. stamped above it.
I don't have the best equipment for close up pics but here are the ones I could get:





If anyone is familiar with the mark or can help look up, I'd be most grateful.
