Help with a button. I think

Had a quick 45mins today just down the road from my house. It’s a park now but had a farm on it until the early 1900’s. I’m guessing this was the front of a two piece button but is anyone familiar with it? I compared it to a button on my blazer and it’s significantly bigger than those. Let me know what you think and thanks for looking.

It depicts the national emblem of France, but still, without seeing the back I wouldn’t rule out a blazer button:

It’s a modernish blazer button. The back piece would have been iron. I’ve found the exact same button.
