My first thought is that it could be a man-hole cover. It would be very heavy if that was the case. Just guessin'.

It looks like some type of garden decor; sun dial, table top, etc.

Thanks y'all :) I'm clueless as to what this could be. The town was wiped out by the '27 flood. It had 2 saloons, 3 houses, 1 gin and 1 store. Dunno....

Some type of cover for utilities. Water valve or maybe gas. Or another possibility is part of a pot belly stove the top had a round metal part you could open up for cooking.

I decided to try to clean it up a little bit bc curiosity is killing this cat! There are 2 notches on the back but now that I'm cleaning it up I noticed 2 more notches parallel from the others and possible 2 more between them. There is also lettering along the edge on the front. Still cleaning it up. Trying to make out letters.

The way the notches are set makes me think they were feet to elevate it off of floor I have seen potted plants on something like that might be called a trivet.
