Help with 1940's? Art Drawing
Hi,
I couldn't pass this up, I found it at a yard sale for a dollar. It is about 22" long and has a scene entitled "FIFTH AVENEU IN THE GAY NINTIES" Both misspellings are on the art itself, I am not making a mistake in typing them that that way. It was framed in Philadelphia in the early 1940's, on the back of the art there is a folded newspaper used for padding that documents some events from WWII. It seems to be colored with either colored pencil or a light charcoal of some sort, and the figures look hand drawn in pencil. Any info on this at all would be appreciated, I know nothing. Even if you know what category of art this would fall into would be a starting point.
Thanks!
Kevin
